Internet has brought the whole world closer and eased the access to important data and services. We have become so much habituated to internet that it has become an integral part of human life. The dependence has increased to such extent that today it is sometimes not even possible to spare the access to internet when we are on the move. There are numerous occasions when it becomes necessary to avail the access to internet even we are on the move. The technologies have made this possible too through Mobilt Internet. The need to be fixed at one place for accessing internet was over in 2008 when the mobile internet was first brought onto surface. The process of accessing internet through a mobile device like a laptop or a smartphone is referred to as mobilt internet or mobile internet.
Integrated services or the individual devices might be used for mobile internet access like the PCMCIA Card or the USB or HSPA Modems. Wireless devices like Smartphones are used to tether personal computers or laptops and mobile internet is accessed through 3G, GPRS or CSD. Mobilt internet is a very popular service today as it could overcome many limitations for accessing internet like staying fixed and loosing opportunities while in move. Today cell phones are used more for accessing internet than to make phone calls. But still, though there are constant improvements in the services and accessibilities using the mobile devices there are certain problems which users might have to face. The platform fragmentation of mobile browsers, devices and operating systems often lead to interoperability problems.
The limitations of the mobile devices to provide adequate resolution, operating capability and proper input hamper the usability of the mobile internet access. The above stated problems are not unnoticed. There are efforts to improve the standards of mobile internet access. This will in turn take care of the interoperability and usability problems. The surfacing of W3 Mobile Web Initiative is the proof of that constant effort. W3C is expected to deal with and eliminate the problems with mobile web access by providing the best technological practices regarding this field. Through W3C tailor made data format will evolve for particular mobile services. Guidelines regarding the best mobile web practices have been published by the W3C and software tool are also available there for the same. A validating scheme called the MobileOK Scheme is also coming to ensure that the contents developed by the developers in web ready. The situation is such that it seems that the day is not far when mobile web will replace the traditional access methods.
