Colorado Small Service Development Center Receives $125,000 Grant for its TechSource Program

The Colorado Small Company Advancement Center (SBDC), a department of the Colorado Workplace of Economic Development & & International Trade received a $125,000 grant in support of its technology program.The SBDC Technology Program(SBDC TechSource)offers custom-made fit professional consulting and applicable programs to innovation businesses and advanced market endeavors throughout the state. The program assists ventures to tap into all types of financing sources, the SBDC TechSource differs from other incubators/accelerators in its focus on non-dilutive capital sources. Specialized support is offered federal Small company Innovative/TechTransfer Research study grants(SBIR/STTR ), State of Colorado Advanced Industry grants, federal R&D Tax Credits, the technology commercialization process, company advancement and development strategies.A significant goal of this grant is to discover and assist technology business(and nascent business owners )in rural and underserved neighborhoods in Colorado. “We are thrilled by the extra support we will have the ability to offer with this grant to innovative Colorado businesses in developing or integrating technology,”stated Kelly Manning, Colorado SBDC Director.” Colorado is an innovation wellspring and we look forward to seeing what bubbles up because of this grant.” The grant, administered by the National Small Service Association(SBA), supplied funds to 24 recipients to support small organisation development and R&D commercialization.Each of the 24 awards are for$125,000 under the Federal and State Innovation (QUICK) Partnership Program. Receivers include state and regional economic development entities, Small company Innovation Advancement Centers, Women’s Service Centers, incubators, accelerators, colleges, and universities that offer assistance to small companies developing and advertising high risk technologies. Just one organization is chosen in each of the granted states.The FAST award project and budget plan periods are for 12 months, beginning September 30, 2018.
